Took about a week to get use to my new mattress. It felt much too soft at first, but I slowly got used to it and then started to look forward to bedtime! Trouble is now I have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning. It cradles my body in all the right places and eases painful muscles. I am 86 and have a bad shoulder. My old mattress was 25 years old and I was afraid to buy a new one in case I didn't like it. I knew Sterns and Foster had a great reputation so I reluctantly made the purchase. Every morning I am so glad I did. I love my new mattress!

I purchased this mattress two months ago. It does not feel the same as the one I tried in the store. It feels hard. It is suppose to be a Euro pillow top, but does not hug me and give me comfort as my precious mattress which was a Euro pillow top, but not stern and foster. I regret this purchase. I'm going back into Mattress Firm to see about a trade. I can't take this anymore.

Bought my 83 year old husband who has had two back surgeries what I thought was a good mattress from a reputable company. Unfortunately, that was not to be the case. After approximately 6 mos the side was breaking down. After an inspection we were told the coils were coming undone and the one side was an inch lower than the other side.Mind you my husband is Aproximatley 5'4 and 180#s. We've been told it does not fall into the category of defective. But they would give us 20% off another mattress! Really, we paid a lot for that one. Why would we give them more money.

We removed our tag and the representative I attempted to discuss the warranty with flatly and rudely advised we are simply out of luck due to this. 2K + wasted. We ordered a new bedframe to go with our new mattress and finally set everything up this weekend 7-19-25. This mattress is AMAZING!!! I thought we were going to be sad getting rid of our old mattress of 25 years because it was so comfortable, but we were wrong. This mattress forms to your body and feels like it hugs you. It's soft but not too soft which makes it even more comfortable. If it was up to me, I would stay in bed all the time. This last 2 nights that we have slept in our new bed has been the best. We actually feel rested, and our bodies don't hurt. We always felt sore or/and always tired on our old mattress. I just can't say enough about our decision. Yes, it's expensive but well worth the expense. We would recommend this mattress to anyone that is having a hard time sleeping at night.

Purchased a queen Studio which was delivered the end of March 2023. For comfort, it is fine; HOWEVER, do not believe the marketing hype about the craftsmanship. I recently noticed the stitching on the mattress top coming completely undone at two opposite corners. There is nothing touching these corners which are covered not only by the mattress pad, but also by a 2-inch topper. I am the only user-an 80 yo slender female who literally sleeps on only 20% of the mattress. I purchased it from MattressFirm; their online claim is a joke-one has to undo the entire bed and frame. It is, at this juncture in my life, an unsuitable product.

We have owned this mattress for 5 years, it has been replaced twice through warranty for such bad body indentations, and the worst sleep due to this. You need to go through your retailer for warranty claims, and living in a small town it's embarassing to complain yet again for a 3rd time. We will never buy stearns and foster again.

I'm sure the springs in the mattress were not properly covered or padded or whatever is done to prevent the springs from being felt.

Don't remember which style or model we bought; I had to pick one to leave a review. When we finally had to give up our waterbed, I knew I'd never find a comfortable traditional bed. It was difficult to find a mattress that was supportive while still being soft and comfortable, but we finally found it with this mattress! Many of the mattresses we tried either seemed like they'd sag in the middle eventually or felt hard as a rock. This mattress had the balance we were looking for as side sleepers. As with any mattress, expect it to be a little on the firmer side until it's broken in. Ours has been steadily softening towards how it felt when we tested it in the store.

Unfortunately after 3 months our mattress started sagging in the center on both sides. Stearns recommended that we rotate the bed and "the indentations will even out over time." We then rotated our mattress every 4 months and one year later the mattress is unusable. I only weigh 125lbs and my husband is 165lbs. We have a steel base with rigid cross bracing. They would not warranty the bed due to the slats not being 3" wide.

The firstKing mattress sagged where each of us slept after 3 months (180# each). Got replacement and this also has sagged and results in uncomfortable sleeping. Feels like sleeping in a hammock.
Sterns and Foster will not help as we bought from "Mattress Firm". So I guess they dont care about their reputation or quality of this product. I am extremely unhappy with my $ 3000 purchase.

This mattress is very comfortable. We had tried a Temperpedic mattress but was unhappy with it to due excessive heat from the memory foam. Also the edges did not supply the necessary support we were used to. The Stearns and Foster mattress provides the edge support we love and adjusts comfortably on our adjustable bed base. The mattress gives great support for us as older adults. We also find this mattress to craddle us but not hold excessive amounts of heat which provides for a better night rest.

I have severe hip pain on my left side and found that moving around on this new mattress is quite a bit less painful than on my old mattress. Everyone should know that the warranty provided bu this company is worthless. I have been sleeping in a chair because the bed sags when you are in it. However, when I tried to get warranty help from this company they said if I can't show it on a picture they won't stand behind their product. Of course, if the mattress is weak inside you can't show that. They should allow you to show what it does when a body is on it. I bought this because I was told it was a firm mattress. I was in such pain from rolling into the middle I had to sleep in my chair at night. I'm not the only one who is experiencing this defect in this bed. I had hopes that if I spend so much money I would get some kind of quality -- no so with Sterns & Foster. Do not buy from them if you ever have hope of getting warranty help!

We've been needing a new mattress for a while now and after trying multiple mattresses and price points, we decided to go with the Stearns and Foster Studio Firm Tight Top. This mattress is sooooooooo comfortable, plush but not to soft. We enjoy the firm tight top due to slight back problems. The mattress is a beautiful dark blue in color and it's a little higher (with the box springs) than we're used to. I feel like a Queen laying on top of this mattress and whether I'm sleeping or sitting up relaxing, my back pain hasn't been an issue. I'm looking forward to many, many good night sleeps on my new Stearns & Foster mattress.

I am 80 years old and changed from my other mattress because I wanted one that was more cushiony and a little less firm. This mattress is excellent, actually providing firm support as well as a comfortable cushion feel. I can sleep in any position in complete comfort and good support. I got the medium pillow top Studio with a 9" box spring underneath. It has greatly relieved all my various aches and pains, and is perfect for me. It is a bit pricey but well. worth the expense at my age

I have had this bed for several years, (2017 or 2018). The store (Art Van, I believe) said it was compatible with an adjustable base. It wasn't. Within the first year of using on the adjustable base the center section of the bed, where it folds up when head tilted, really lost its firmness. When I called they basically blew me off. So, I ended up putting towels in the center to add firmness. Then purchased a firm topper and that helped but really never used my adjustable base anymore. Personally, after this experience I would never purchase a bed with coils/springs with an adjustable base again.
If not for the adjustable base, I absolutely loved this bed and would purchase again if I had a flat, non-adjustable base.

We purchased the Stearns & Foster mattress and box spring on June 1st 2022.
I absolutely hate it.
So much money and it was a terrible investment.
My back hurts so bad every single morning. And I've never had an issue with my back before this purchase.
Our first year we rotated our king size mattress a quarter turn as recommended by the salesman.
Talk about the heaviest thing you'll ever lift when it comes to a mattress.
Rotated again this morning hopefully I'll have some relief for a couple nights.
I thought purchasing a more expensive mattress would be a good idea, maybe won't have to purchase again for a very long time HAHA I'm about ready to dump this heavy uncomfortable mattress, so very disappointed.

I tried this mattress at the store and I really liked it, I was told it was 14", once it was delivered I measured it and it is not 14" it is 13" unless mattresses are measured with a different tool. The comfort from the one at the store felt different more of a medium, mine feels a bit firmer. So I'm a bit on a disappointed side. I don't want to go through the hassle of an exchange. I love the pattern and the colors.

DO NOT SHOP AT BEST MATTRESS. This place will take your money!! I went with a mattress here and in total spent almost 5K. I was told that if I didn't like my mattress, I could exchange it within 30 days. The mattress arrived and immediately I noticed it felt COMPLETELY different and stiffer from the one I tried. I bought the matching protector with it, but after a couple weeks I was too uncomfortable and decided to exchange it with a similar mattress. The deliverers came to pick it up but they would not take it due to it being "stained." This was supposedly a new mattress paired with a quality mattress protector that I have only had for a couple weeks!! They came to the apartment without a new mattress, had dirty shoes without foot covers on, and dirty gloves. They came in without a purpose to deliver a new mattress. They refused to do the exchange that they promised me due to the stain that I have never seen. I am stuck with this mattress that was 1- sold to me already used or 2- stepped on by the delivery drivers. I have been treated HORRIBLY by customer service when I paid good money for this mattress. This company is only out to get your money and will not help you.

I was not able to test this mattress so I relied on the manufacturer rating to make my purchase decision. So, on a scale of 1 to 10 (with a 10 being the most firm), this mattress was rated (by the manufacturer) at a medium comfort level between 4 and 5; however, it feels more like a very firm 8 or 9. Unfortunately, I don't think this unexpected extra firmness will work well for a side sleeper like myself. My advice would be to make sure you can test this mattress yourself and do not rely on the manufacturer's rating to make your purchase decision. My only hope is that, ove time, it will soften enough so I will be able to "comfortably" sleep on my side.
